Canon’s next HD Video camera.

Looks like the XH A1 set up with a file based format. Comment made from article below…

The battery well at the back sure seems like it takes the familiar BP-9xx series batteries, but the dual card slots are not as obvious as to whether they’re Compact Flash or SDHC / SDXC.

Our guess is SDHC memory cards. Anything a major improvement over tape.

No telling what it will cost, however this may provide a flood of used XH A1 & XL H1 used gear, if you don’t mind the older, slower, tape recorded format. Also remember no flat panel. We have had problems with the built in tape recorders in the camera body before and will not buy another one.
